We are proud to announce that Millboard has been named Global Player of the Year at the Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Awards 2026, taking home the Export Business of the Year accolade at this year’s ceremony.

The award, sponsored by Lawton Tubes, recognises companies that have achieved outstanding success in international trade and export expansion. We were honoured to receive the award from Robert Lawton and Ajay Desai of the Department for Business and Trade, and extend our sincere thanks to both for presenting it.

a milestone that belongs to many

Winning this award is a reflection of the collective effort that has gone into building Millboard’s international presence over recent years. From the colleagues on the production floor at our Ryton production facility in Coventry to our export operations team, our marketing and sales colleagues, and the growing network of distributors and partners around the world, this recognition belongs to everyone who has played a part in taking Millboard from a UK manufacturer to a brand trusted by designers, architects, installers and homeowners globally.

our export story

Founded in Coventry in 2007, Millboard has steadily grown from a well-regarded UK premium brand into an international supplier of high-end composite decking and cladding. In the past 12 months alone, export sales have grown by approximately 35%, driven by strong demand across established and new markets alike, including Australia and New Zealand, Germany and Austria, the Benelux region, Canada, the Middle East, and most recently Japan.

To support this growth, Millboard has established its own entities in France and the United States, enabling closer relationships with customers and a more agile response to local market needs.

In September 2025, we hosted our inaugural International Conference at our Coventry headquarters, bringing together partners from across our key markets. The strength of those relationships, and the feedback we received from our international partners at that event, is something we are particularly proud of.

The judges assessed entrants across five criteria: export growth, market expansion, innovation in export strategy, sustainability and compliance, and economic impact. We believe our application demonstrated strength across each of these, not only through commercial results but through the values and practices underpinning them.

Millboard holds ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certification, is a signatory to the UN Global Compact, and recently achieved an EcoVadis Silver rating. We are also a Living Wage and Fair Tax accredited business, and proud holders of Made In Britain membership. These commitments matter to our international partners, and they matter to us.

This award is both a proud moment and a prompt to keep pushing. International markets continue to offer exciting opportunities for Millboard’s products, and our ambition to grow responsibly and sustainably on the world stage remains firmly intact.
